Zynga goes Europe with German Office

The company behind instant super hits like FarmVille – which was launched on the iPad recently by the way – or MafiaWars seems to expand their business into Europe. With acquiring the Frankfurt-based company Dextrose AG a while ago we could see the first indicators of the US-American company’s expanding plans. Some weeks ago, Zynga was hiring new employees on the german business network Xing.com for a Germany- based office.

Dextrose, known for vast knowledge of creating game engines – mostly for the Aves Engine, which doesn’t require any plugins and allows development simply with HTML, CSS and JavaScript – now goes by the name “Zynga Germany”. Aside from Germany, there is another office in Dublin and they bought chinese company XPD in Beijing as well.

With some hundred million dollars in the piggy bank, Zynga’s plans to conquer new markets seem easily achievable. Let’s see, what company will be re-named into “Zynga Whatever” next…
